How long have you been in business?
Community Action of Dutchess County has been in business since 1979.
What is your primary product or service?
To assist families/individuals to become self sufficient, while providing our community on other services that we provide.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
The poverty in Dutchess County has risen through out the years. Needed to be able to show our community their are agencies to help them become self sufficient.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
The service that we provide in DCCAA, Inc. through our client advocacy is one on one. We also provide what we call "Wrap Around Services" . We have other services like interview clothing and classes through our Dress for Success program, as well as energy savings through our Weatherization program. We also have a program for men to help assist them acquire clothing for job interviews. All of our services are FREE, providing that they meet the low income guidelines.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
DCCAA, Inc. Has locations in Beacon NY, Dover Plains NY and Red Hook NY.

The main Administrative offices of DCCAA, Inc. are located in 77 Cannon St. Poughkeepsie, NY 12601 We are in the center of the block between S. Hamilton and Academy St.

None!
Which areas do you service?
All areas through out Dutchess County.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Our agency is governed by a tripartite board of directors.
What are your hours of operation?
8:30am-4:30pm. Office's are closed during holidays.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
That are services has enabled someone to provide their family with their basic needs, and no longer need the services of public assistance.
