How long have you been in business?

What is your primary product or service?
We started out as a general locksmith shop cutting keys along with installing and repairing locks. We've grown to include safes, access control systems, master key systems, CCTV, as well as custom fabricated physical security devices.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
My father worked as a signal and communications technician for the railroad. During his recovery from a heart attack, he took a course in locksmithing and became certified. It seemed only natural that when he retired from the railroad, this was his next direction. I worked with him and he taught me.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
We've been in the business longer than most of the other locksmiths in Poughkeepsie. Experience breeds proficiency.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We don't have an actual store. Where we call home is a second floor space in a commercial office building in the Town of Poughkeepsie. We chose this location for it's obscurity...we didn't want to inconvenience anyone who might see the shop or a sign to make the trip to find nobody there. Nearly all of our business is done outside the shop. We only come there to make repairs to locks or take care of the paper work. Insofar as to whether or not we'll expand, probably. When? We don't know. Right now, we're working on a 'third generation' locksmith, so we'll have to see where that takes us.

We're on Dutchess Turnpike (NY Rt. 44) at the top of what was formerly known as "Brickyard Hill" in the Town of Poughkeepsie. We're just a little east of Burnett Blvd. (Stop 'n' Shop Plaza). Shop hours are by appointment only so when you call, we'll give you directions to us from where ever your coming.
What type of payments do you accept?
We accept Cash, Business Checks, All Major Credit/ Debit Cards, and PayPal.
Which areas do you service?
One of the components to our fee is a Trip Charge. It's what we charge to go to a service location. The further we have to travel, the higher the trip charge would be. So, our service area depends upon economics; when does it become cost effective to engage a locksmith who is closer to the service location. Generally, we service all mid-Hudson counties.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?

What are your hours of operation?
We typically work 9 am to 5 pm. We do offer 24 hour emergency service.
What is the best compliment anyone can give you?
